Yes, you are precious – rare, valuable, and highly esteemed. This is good.

Woman DancingHowever, is “precious” holding you back? Is “precious” an excuse for not letting go; an excuse for not showing up?

Are the things you do so precious to you that you are afraid to let them go, or show them off, or even talk about them?

Fear of possibly being embarrassed, scrutinized, or judged?

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?”

– Marianne Williamson, A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

Sometimes I allow very small, insignificant issues hold me back from working on the more important matters. I use them as an excuse, as in the words of Winnie the Pooh, “to be a very important person who makes very important decisions.”

Are you ready to let go of “precious” and just show up?
