The InvitationHow do you maximize your strength?

How to you maximize your potential?

It is not about working hard. It is not about working smart. It is about playing to your strengths and building to your strengths.

But more importantly, why? Why do you want to play or work to your full potential? Finding the why will create the motivation for how.

Imperfection

Too often, especially when younger, we are encouraged to improve our weaknesses. Improve our poor grades, improve whatever our parents, teachers, supervisors, and friends thought they found in us as areas for improvement.

I have come to realize that, in acceptance of our areas of weaknesses, we can discover the true value of our humanity, community, and diversity.

The Adventure of Being Alive

More than 20 years ago, authors Ernest Kurtz and Katherine Ketcham published a groundbreaking book entitled The Spirituality of Imperfection: Story Telling and the Search for Meaning.

Life is a mystery, yet trapped between the cultural opinion of others and our fear of being wrong, we strive for absolute certainty where none exists.

In the conscious acknowledgement of imperfect lives and “a spirituality of not having all the answers, stories convey the mystery and the miracle — the adventure — of being alive.”

The Invitation

It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living.

I want to know what you ache for and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
